JR Ransom has worked as an infectious disease epidemiologist for the past 15 years. He has worked for local and state health departments, national and international NGOs, and with the World Health Organization.
His management experience includes epidemiological analysis, grant acquisitions, surveillance, medical officer training, and program evaluation. Working as an epidemiologist in research and field settings, he has tackled various global diseases such as hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, measles, neonatal tetanus, pandemic influenza, polio, and river blindness (onchocerciasis). He is a graduate of Stanford and Yale Universities.
